Fishing Report for December

As we move into December, we begin to transition from fall fishing patterns to wintertime fishing patterns here in St. Pete FL! Great for family friendly charters and people looking to for great table fair fish! This means sheepshead and trout bite begins to get really good! We will be targeting sheepshead around docks, structure or nearshore wrecks. We use a variety of baits from shrimp to fiddler crabs. For the trout we will be fishing deep edges around grass. Using shrimp or whitebait. Wintertime trout fishing is also a great time to throw artificial lures around! Redfish and snook will still be biting on the warmer days using cut pinfish or ladyfish seems to be the best bet this time of year! St Pete wintertime fishing is one of my favorite times of the year
