Beach Tarpon (100-120lb range)
Beach Tarpon (100-120lb range)

The dinosaurs of Tampa Bay have started their yearly migration! Tarpon fishing can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding fishing we have here in the Tampa Bay area. We usually start to see out first sign of residential fish coming out of hibernation in late March to Early April. By late April we start to see out first migrating fish making their way up from the south. Our peak tarpon season is in full swing right now in the middle of May! Fish are ranging from juvenile fish 40-60lb range to full grown ones pushing over 200lbs!

There is 100 different ways to target these giants, the way you target them all depends on the area you are fishing them. We have 3 main areas here in Tampa Bay- Bridges, Passes and the beach. Each area has their own way of targeting them, from live thread fins or pinfish, dead bait on the bottom, or live crabs. It is all depended on what they are eating on that day is how you want to fish them! They can picky so don't be afraid to throw the house at them to see what they want. I have open days still for tarpon fishing if you would like to book! Let's go chase some dinosaurs!
